Japanese Create Virtual Reality Hungging Machine now?

Last time I post about the China pirating a village, now I'm posting about Japanese creating a virtual reality hugging machine? Am I typing this right? Yes, I'm not wrong..

sense-roid-1.jpg
This is the hugging machine...

From my understanding, the machine works by use of haptic feedback in the real-time by hugging the mannequin, you can send the feeling of hugging to somewhere else that also has the mannequin. so even a couple separated by a long distance, they still can hug each other.

In the future, they might be create the different feedback when the user hugs the mannequin, like the feel hugging a woman, or different person without the actual person deliver it. It really suited for the lonely guy if they really create this features.

And finally I would like to say this, ITS REALLY WEIRD.....

Experiential Studies Class; Week 3

Class review;

So this week we've got the second assignment. The assignment was pick one of any location that is interesting for us to record the environment, buildings, people and its activities. So yeah, right now I did not know what to pick. Maybe museum or exhibits that in the near future. Sorry for the lame post, I have problem with my major class.......

China Pirating Everything

When China is mention, everyone will think of their piracy product, right? If not you guys better think of it because their going large by pirating a whole town from Austria’s Alpine village of Halstatt!!!! My God!!!

halstatt-001.jpg
Believe me, this place in China...

The Chinese Government and Developers secretly build this town and nobody know it until the village was open to the public. A lot of criticism happens when this village open.

But then again, They done very good job by creating back the environment and building and probably same as the real one.

halstatt-003.jpg
Lots of tourist enjoying the scene..

Not only that, there also sell stuff that can only get in the real place. A lot of people outside China were stunned by this replica and the most people that were stunned the is Halstatt's Mayor and the residents of Austria’s Alpine village.

The Mayor of Halstatt showing comparison with the real thing..

The owner of the real hotel not please by the replica..

This show how China can make anything by creativity, innovation, and hard work(I think..)

Experiential Studies Class; Week 2

Class Review ;

This week class is very short as our lecturers have an event a the e-Gallery. So what we did learn is Immersion and Virtuality in Popular Films. There is this quote that I get it from the class, it is 'simulation something is not always enough to make it a real thing',......
I think that was the quote, and it makes me wondering, it is true because every real thing is a simulation, but not all simulation is a real thing. Meaning that our daily life is some sort of simulation because we experience and have to complete a certain task in order to move forward, but for simulation, we try to make it closer to reality but no matter how hard we try we cannot get to perfect it....... yet..

So one of the way to make simulation toward reality is by using real texture as I learn this from the CodeMaster Company Talk recently as they said that nothing beats the real picture even if we try to replicate back using whatever software of brush media. Also the sound is important to make the environment become alive and realistic...

So maybe that is all i want to say, if I've got more, I'll add them here...
